Our hiring process is designed to help you put your best foot forward. We guide you through each step, share what to expect along the way, and make sure you know how decisions are made, so there are no surprises.

How to join QBE

Step 1: Apply online

Apply online by sharing a few details about you and your experience. You can learn more about how we use AI in recruitment and how you can use AI when preparing an application.

Some roles may include a short online assessment.

Once submitted, we will confirm your application and invite you to create a candidate account to track progress and manage preferences.

Step 2: Phone screening

Our recruitment team reviews applications in partnership with the hiring leader, focusing on those that best match the role requirements.

If shortlisted, we’ll contact you to arrange a screening call at a time that suits you and discuss any support you may need.

Step 3: Interviews and assessments

If you progress, we will invite you to one or more interviews and, and where relevant, additional assessments such as a video or psychometric assessment.

As well as meeting the hiring leader, you may meet people from the immediate and broader team. We will clearly explain what to expect so you can prepare with confidence.

Step 4: Offer and next steps

Once a decision is made, we will be in touch.

If successful, we will talk through the proposed offer, required background checks, and next steps to help you get ready to join QBE.

If the role is not the right match this time, we will let you know and invite you to join our Talent Community  to stay connected and hear about future opportunities at QBE.
